Is Kaley Cuoco choosing “love over money”? A report claims “The Big Bang Theory” star won’t have a prenup if she marries Karl Cook. Gossip Cop looked into the story, which comes from the tabloids.
OK! notes in its current edition that when Cuoco’s marriage to Ryan Sweeting “crumbled,” their prenuptial agreement “protected” her fortune, “rumored to be north of $100 million.” But if she and Cook end up tying the knot, the tabloid contends she has “no plans to do the same” kind of advance settlement to secure her assets. “Kaley’s an eternal optimist and is certain Karl’s her soul mate,” a so-called “source” explains.
Also supposedly playing a role in her decision is the fact that Cook comes from a wealthy family, with his father allegedly worth a whopping $2 billion. “With both of their huge bank accounts, Kaley doesn’t see the need for a financial safety net,” the snitch claims to the gossip magazine. And now the actress’ pals are said to fear what may happen. “If things go south and he wants to collect from her, he’s got an army of his dad’s lawyers to mount a divorce battle,” maintains the outlet’s purported tipster, who adds, “Her friends wish she’d reconsider.”
What struck Gossip Cop about this article is that it’s all about what could happen with Cuoco’s finances if she and Cook divorce, but absolutely nothing is said about the couple actually getting married. It all seems to be a hypothetical, with no mention of an engagement or a wedding. Still, Gossip Cop investigated anyway, and we’re exclusively told the claims of Cuoco not getting a prenup, should the relationship reach that point, are “completely false.”
It’s also worth mentioning that OK! doesn’t have a stellar track record when it comes to reporting on the star. Back in 2015, Gossip Cop corrected a story claiming Cuoco was using an online dating site. In fact, she and Cook ended up meeting at an equestrian event. Gossip Cop also busted the publication for spreading rumors about Cuoco being in a feud with her “Big Bang Theory” co-star, Mayim Bialik.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
