Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not expecting twin girls, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. The singer isn’t pregnant with one child, let alone two.
An alleged insider tells Life & Style that the famous couple “have been struggling with in vitro fertilization for the past 16 months, but it’s finally paid off. Getting pregnant with one child, boy or girl, would have been a blessing, but two is definitely a gift.” The supposed source adds, “They’re calling it their Christmas miracle!”
From there, the questionable tipster explains how Shelton has been doting on his “pregnant” girlfriend. “He brings her herbal tea and an extra pillow for her feet when she needs it,” says the suspicious source, who goes on to say that Stefani is caring for herself by “getting enough protein and calcium in her diet from things like salmon and broccoli.” It’s worth noting, these same exact quotes were lifted from an October story in Star, which said Stefani was having a “miracle baby” at 49.
From there, the supposed insider claims Stefani and Shelton are keeping the baby news to themselves, but “word is spreading fast” among their friends that they’re expecting. “Even some people around Blake’s ex Miranda Lambert have heard the news,” adds the seemingly nonexistent source.
Gossip Cop, however, reached out to a rep for Stefani, who tells us the tabloid’s story is completely false. The singer simply isn’t pregnant, despite the magazine’s insistence on recycling this narrative. As recently as August, we busted the magazine for falsely claiming that Stefani was a “pregnant bride.” The singer isn’t even engaged to her boyfriend and they’re still not expecting a baby together.
Back in April, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style for wrongly reporting that Stefani and Shelton would have a “wedding and baby” over the summer. That never happened. In November 2017, the outlet made up a story about Stefani “rocking a baby bump” on Thanksgiving. One month before that, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming that Stefani and Shelton were having a baby girl.
The outlet has published several other pregnancy reports that predate the examples above, going as far back as 2015. Considering that the narrative never pans out, it’s becoming absurd for the magazine to keep pushing it. Naturally, the publication never acknowledges having gotten the story wrong so many times in the past. This latest report is yet more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
