The overrated Duke Blue Devils are getting some more love, this time from DJ Steve Porter, in a ridiculous song about being worldwide.
Đang xem: Duke basketball hype video
The Blue Devils are constantly hyped up as favorites to win the NCAA Tournament every year, but they rarely come through for their fans and the media.
Duke has won the title just twice in the past 10 years, but are preseason favorites each and every season. No matter what players they lose or what players they bring in, someone is always announcing them as contenders.
This year was supposed to be different.
The North Carolina Tar Heels and Kentucky Wildcats are without a doubt the two best teams in the country, but Duke still finds a way to gain respect from DJ Steve Porter. Maybe this song was just because they went on a worldwide tour, but what about Georgetown? They went to China and they got in a fight.
You would think that clips of a fight and audio of that would be a bigger hit than “Duke Worldwide“
The only thing this song does is emphasize just how goofy the Duke players can be. As if Jon Scheyer didn”t make Duke easy enough to make fun of, the Plumlees make it even easier in this video. They are talking about Windex machines, do we really even need to go further than that?
Duke is one of the most hated teams in all of sports and this video is only going to make people hate them more. Even though they lost Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith and Kyrie Irving to the NBA, this team is still getting hype because they landed top recruit Austin Rivers.
Duke fans can enjoy their song about being worldwide, but worldwide doesn”t win championships. Talent wins titles, something the Dukies don”t have enough of.
Everything is fine and dandy in Durham right now, but let”s wait and see how they feel when the Tar Heels bring home another National Championship.
